Ralph Anderson Junior Matchplay

This event turned out completely different to the 2 previous years with interesting results from the start. The majority of the junior team were knocked out in the first and second rounds only Chris Watts getting to the semi final.  This year the Younger juniors showed the old boys how it is done and ran away with the trophy. A close final between Michael Tomlinson and Joshua Rayner went down the last hole with victory going to Michael.  Well played..

Bradford Team Championships

The team this year was Matthew Weldon, Tom Hughes, Kelvin Cook and Matthew Stanworth. They went to Branshaw golf club needing 3 out of 4 scores to count. They went with high spirits and left having won the event by 10 clear shots from runners up St Ives.  Great scores from Kelvin Cook, Tom Hughes and Matthew Weldon ment the team score was -7 on the day.  This meant that the team qualified for the Yorkshire team championships. A 3 man team of Matthew Weldon, Tom Hughes and Kelvin Cook went and battled well but unfortunately missed out on the day. 

Bradford Boys Individual Championship

The Bradford Boys individual championship was held at West Bradford this year.  A field of over 130 junior boys entered.  On the day the weather was fantastic and the event went with great success.  The entrants from Northcliffe were as follows:

No prizes were won by Northcliffe members although some promising scores were achieved.  A good score of 68 Nett which is 1 under par was scored by 11 year old Kelvin cook who is looking like he will be a very promising prospect for the future!

The winner of the Bradford Boys Championship was Liam O’Neil of Keighley golf Club with a score of 64 gross.
