Bradford Union Junior team
Our junior captain Chris Watts has been selected once again to play for the Bradford union junior side.
4th April East Riding @ Hessle
Morning foursomes:
After a bad start loosing the first three holes the pressure was on for Chris and his partner to battle back to avoid loosing. Getting the score back to 2 down after 10 he then continued to get the score to all square after 13. Battling on Chris and his partner got to one up with 1 to go. Winning the last hole they finished 2up winners. Making Chris and his partner the only Bradford players to pick up any points in the Foursomes!
Afternoon Singles:
Chris started well winning the first 2 holes. Staying ahead all the way never worse than 1 up, he was looking good for a second victory. 1up with two holes to go Chris unfortunately lost the last 2 holes to loose 1 down.
Overall the team lost. 25 - 11

Junior Organiser
Phil Chester took over as junior organiser 3 years ago now. He has brought many changes to the section and increased the membership numbers to 60 now. He has brought a new lease of life to the section and its moving forward and has become in such a short time a great setup. Phil puts many hours of work into the section on a completely voluntary basis and on behalf of all the juniors I would like to thank Phil for all he has done for us. Without him we would not have achieved half as much as we have done this year. He is as vital to the success of the team as any player and is like an un praised hero for the section.
Also many thanks go to all the junior helpers and junior committee. Special thanks to John Musto, Kath Booth, Ralph Anderson on behalf of the entire junior section. Written by Chris Woodhead.
